BMT Grad Week < 8 Weeks
The Problem
About 120,000 military families travel to JBSA-Lackland each year for Air Force BMT graduation. There was no single place to find the gate, the schedule, or nearby hotels. Families were stitching together Facebook threads, printed handouts, and word-of-mouth to figure out graduation week.
Our Approach
- Interviewed family members from recent graduations to learn what they actually needed to know.
- Shipped v1 with the three things families ask for most: which gate, when to arrive, and where to stay.
- Built schedule logic that rolls over automatically when a BMT class graduates and the next begins.
- Deployed on Cloudflare Pages; content edits go live without touching the build pipeline.
- Kept a Vitest and Playwright suite green so a late-night schedule update does not break the site.
The Solution
A mobile web app that answers the three questions every family asks on their way to Lackland: which gate, what time, where to sleep. About 120,000 people use it each year, and running it costs nothing.
